Q: What is there to do at Danebod?

A: There are multitudes of crafts offered daily throughout the week like wood carving, bow tie making, water color, bracelet making, and so much more! There are different levels of crafts to help out the various age groups who want to participate. Keep an eye out in the spring for a list of crafts available at each camp. The town of Tyler also offers a wide variety of excursions including a pool with a brand new waterslide, an eighteen hole golf course, running/bike trails and much more.

Q: Are there people my age at camp?

A: The ages at camp range from new born and older. There are many opportunities to make friends during an activity, over a meal, or at your own pace during the week!

Q: Are there sitters to watch our kids?

A: Danebod offers babysitters after 9pm to monitor infants and children while they sleep if you want to participate in any evening activities. Accommodations can be made at special requests.

Q: Are there meal options?

A: Danebod is happy to offer vegetarian and gluten-free meals, but the directors must be notified prior to accommodate the cooks’ preparations.

Q: What housing options available?

A: There are multiple living quarters available to Danebod campers for the week. The dormitory has rooms with one twin, two twin, double bunk, and full size bed options. In addition there are main level options in the “cottage” for folks who prefer not to climb stairs. The camp grounds also have areas with electrical hook-ups for campers and tents.
