Camp beginning and ending
Camp opens with supper Sunday evening and closes with breakfast Saturday morning. Plan to arrive early Sunday afternoon, in time to unpack and settle in, as activities can begin as early as 4 p.m.
Daily activities
Schedules are adjusted by camp directors according to a weekly theme. Participation in all Danebod activities is encouraged, but not mandatory. Conversations and naps happen. Parents may choose to set a song and dance minimum for reluctant children. Headphones may be helpful during singing for the sensory-sensitive.
After breakfast
Discussion (adults) and morning activities (kids) occur concurrently before lunch.
Pack a mug
Coffee drinks are available for sale during the morning in the pop stand. Proceeds go to the scholarship fund.
Scandinavians are the worldโs highest per-capital consumers of coffee, with Danes (who drink an average of four cups a day) coming in fourth.
After lunch
Crafts
Crafts vary by year and have included acrylic mural painting, basket weaving, beading, bracelet making, cookie decorating, copper enameling, family band, felting, ice dyeing, indigo dyeing, kids crafts, knitting, rockets, rock painting, round singing, soap making, stained glass, tie dyeing, watercolor, wood working, and writing.
There are two subsequent one-hour craft sessions each afternoon with multiple options to choose from. Certain crafts may require adult assistance.

Free time
After crafts and tea time, campers decide how to spend the rest of their afternoons.
The town of Tyler offers a pool with a waterslide, an eighteen hole golf course, and is located near the Buffalo Ridge wind turbines and Camden State Park.
Some campers bring their bicycles and running shoes to take advantage of quiet county roads. Others hang out, play music, or nap.

After dinner
Babysitters are available from 8 p.m. until midnight to allow parents and guardians to attend evening activities / campfire, coffee time, and late night dancing. Thirteen is the minimum age to attend late night dancing.
